Whats New at Hazel’s – Las Vegas Desert Shoot!

Paris, New York, Fiji, were absolutely wonderful but we want more! In early February we flew out to Las Vegas for an exciting desert shoot planned by my beloved husband, Alex. Being photographers we sometimes find the perfect opportunity to challenge a new environment and let our needs and passions take hold. Our recent friends, Terry and Gretchen provided us with The Bullet, an amazing Airstream, that believe it or not kept us warm! One of our favorite videographers and makeup artist also took part in this production, as well as several models. After finding the most perfect location, Red Rock Canyon, we arrived at our scenic spot. If the beautiful simplicity didn’t take your breath away then it’s indescribable feeling of peacefulness and solitude would! All in all at the end of the day Las Vegas’ mesmerizing sunset captured our eyes and stole our hearts as we watched it slowly sink behind the mountains.

Enjoy this spectacular video produced by DVP Studios.

This is an amazing gown designed by Elizabeth Calderon. Pearl necklace & earrings designed by Gretchen Cox. I love this picture!

Thanks to the entire crew that made it happen.

There is a reason why we came to the city that never sleeps,  despite the absolutely gorgeous photographs from Red Rock Canyon, there was an entirely wild side of Vegas that had to be obtained. With nothing but our curiosity guiding us for the next location, Old Vegas brought us from El Cortez Hotel & Casino to the famous Fremont Street!

To the city that never sleeps; we did not sleep either! Where to next.

Hazel Photographers wants to give you the opportunity to participate in their next photo shoot production. Help me pick my next location and you can part take in being our next couple, travel to a distant land and have an unforgettable experience.

Your next destination should be COSTA RICA!!!
You will find everything in one tiny country. Volcanos, waterfalls, jungles, rainforests, beaches and more, all just a drive away. The people are friendly, the country is beautiful and it’s not around the world! I say go to Costa Rica!

I think you should go to Blue Mountain Jamaica. You get some amazing scenery views, The weather is usually great and you can finish off your day with some amazing coffee…

  • Sara E. - July 29, 2010 - 3:43 PM

You should visit Bariloche, Argentina. The weather is incredible, the views are breathtaking and the magic of the Argentinian culture are simply exquisite. My suggestion is Bariloche, known as well as little Switzerland. You will love it!

Hey guys, I think you should go to some place really exclusive like an Italian Island off the coast, maybe experience Sardinia Beach, also a beautiful romantic session through the vineyards of Sicily or Florence. Italy should be your next destination definitely!

  • Amanda - July 31, 2010 - 3:43 PM

I love Italy, & any city in Europe would be breathtaking. I’m thinking a little more like A safari destination somewhere in the rainforest. Kenya is risky but extremely beautiful. That’s where I would go 🙂

  • Jenny Santiago - July 31, 2010 - 7:03 PM

I love Egypt! You have to see the pyramids, they are soo much more big in person than in photographs. The culture is so beautiful there, you could make it a theme! Sit With the Pharaohs carved into the pyramids!

I know it may seem crazy but Alaska’s landscape will take your breath away! It is absolutely amazing!

  • Lorin Rubenstein - August 4, 2010 - 2:30 PM

Jamaica is a beautiful country! The water is so clear that you can see the little fish swimming by your feet! Jamaica also has historical caves, 30 foot tall ferns and so much more! My husband and I travel all the time so I can easily plan out the trip to be very cost effective and luxurious!

China is my pick. I think you could get some really amazing and unique pictures. The cities have so much color and and the architecture is wonderful. Of course there are the Temple of Heaven, the summer palace and the Great Wall I am sure you have heard about. Check out the Guilin and the Yangtze River my favorite. I have seen nothing like them for natural beauty. The country has underground caves see the Reed Flute Cave or the Guilin Crown Cave as an example. For something not know for china try the sand dunes in the Gobi Desert (Corbis). Don’t forget the people and culture that can be found in authentic dress that people still wear in the mountain regions. I believe that the photos and experiences of china would be one you would cherish forever.
